Jim, my Geophysician frind, with all do respect, I was reading
your comments again and I could not help it, I got a kick out
of it. I can give you 1000+ reasons why your statement above is
not only incorrect but so wildly funny. And because of the thoughts
that went into your statement I dont think my reasoning with you
would be any beneficial to you!

Have you seen the movie Amadeus (1984)? Your above statement
where you say: " Simply buy some third-party NFS to handle the rest."
kind of reminds me of the point in the movie where Mozart composed
some opera and the Austrian emperor saw it. After the opera ended
the emperor congradulated Mozart on his great performance, But
in order to show him that he understood music he told Mozart:"You
know I think your music was great but it can be improved...".
Mozart asked the emperor: "How?" and he replied:"well, just
cut a few notes from here and there and then you have
a perfect opera!" and Mozart asked him:"which notes did you have
in mind your majesty?!..." and of course he did not know what to
say.

Now, my Geophysician friend, your statement of "Simply buy some
third-party NFS to handle the rest", is very much similar to what
the Austrian emperor told Mozart to cut a few notes here and
there!

Anyway, sorry for the long note but could not help it. I guess I had
my fun today!
