I would bet (pun intended) that each SI poster were given a bag of casino chips, and the casino gave them the option of immediately trading their chips for the casino's stock at a 50% discount - the only caveat being that the stock could not be sold for 1 year, most of these people would probably reject the offer and run to the craps tables.

If the SI folks are such notorious money losers, where do the guys still take the money to carry on in gambling??? I do not know very much of the SI community but maybe I read the right posts (I estimated the investment style and intelligence of the average SI poster being well ahead of the joe sixpack).

About CPU. You pounded the table that hard that we heard that here in Vienna. Finally I am convinced and have bought some of them and see, CPU have risen further.

I agree that buying value stock should be the better job in comparison to suck out half-dollars of BioTime and Macrochem.

No wonder that the out-of-sequence rise in semiconductor stocks lead to their early downgrade now,as it was widely expected. Sure, semis are a good bet but only after the computer industry has risen. What do you think? Should I seize the opportunity and sell some of them, UTEK or Lam?
