tuxedo.org This is interesting internal insight into the Borg (MSFT). It's all the more enjoyable with the (direct) Eric Raymond notation throughout. Apparently, the WSJ will be featuring this in tomorrow's edition. A WSJ reporter contacted Slashdot for comments (and got comments). I don't know how many of my fellow SUNW shareholders here are familiar with slashdot.org. It's basically ground zero for dynamic *nix culture, run by a college student in Holland Mich. The guy has had nothing but scalability challenges keeping the site up and happening since he started. I would VERY much like to petition Sun (as a shareholder) to provide (donate) an appropriate UltraSparc box to Slashdot. I feel it would be an extremely prudent donation for Sun to make. If anyone has, or is able to obtain an email address for the appropriate SUNW contact toward this end, please post the address. I feel if several of us could effectively get through to the right person at Sun, we would be doing both slashdot.org and ourselves (SUNW) a very significant favor. JCJ Side note: The SI NT server spell check does not recognize and does highlight in red, the word "scalability". :)
