Gee, Spots, I can't believe I got two replies so quickly. Thanks to you and Len.

I don't think it is the video card seating. I tried my pci video card in two different slots. I even had an old isa video card I tried using. Memory may not be seated properly. It was very hard to get it seated in any of the three dimm slots. Finally got it in one where it _seemed_ to seat properly.

I do wonder if the memory is incompatible. It's rated at 10ns and somebody else just told me that they think the AMD K6 requites 8ns.
The mb manual, however, just says anything "faster than 70 ns".

Does anybody know anything about that?

I'll take your suggestions (yours and Len's) and keep plugging away. It may be this weekend before I can get back to it though.

Thanks again and I'll let you know how things work out.

Regards,
Fish
