I hate this election. I've never seen so much political mail in my life. Haven't these clowns heard of radio? TV? E-mail? We have been getting as many as 20 mailings a day. Every one of them is only one sheet thick, so there's hundreds of pieces in a tiny little stack. You can stand there sorting a one inch bundle of letters for over a half-hour. You feel like you are making absolutely no progress. And the clerks keep bringing more stacks around every few minutes. And all of this is in addition to the normal flood of bills and Christmas catalogs. I sorted eighteen feet of mail today, took me seven hours. I give up. The mail wins.
