>>The Y2K event will also cause a big drop in earnings next year for computer hardware and software companies.<<

I've been seeing projections about how corporations are going to have
to divert their IT (Information Technology) budget to take care of Y2K problems.

The thing I'm wondering about is how many of their PC's are, or are not, Y2K compatible. Additionally, how many people out there are going to have to buy a new system because of Y2K. From a personal perspective, I and most of the people I know are running systems that aren't Y2K compliant. When I buy my new system I'm also going to have to buy all new software.

It's interesting that there are new systems being sold today that aren't Y2K compliant.
