Just a thought…

The market is constantly infused with new money (how many Billions per month available for investment?). The baby boomers are in their highest earning years, and their dollars are going to the market. 401's and Mutual funds are so popular today, everyone is in... and not watching…Why? Because we have been taught that over the long term the market will go up. Correct or not Billions of investment dollars are hard to fight. When will it end?? I don't know, but until steady income needs hits the Baby Boomers, and their dollars move, the investment pressure on the market can override many historical market movements/patterns.

The 401 statements are out… yeah… some losses are seen. But again… Joe 401K does not worry. For so many years “buy on the dips” has worked when will it end? I don't know, but there are more people sending $'s to funds and 401's today than ever before.

Elections Yeah… they will cause short term volatility. And I agree with your 1.2.3. consensus. But I feel this market has 4-5 more years of upside in high PE valuation. (no comment on the Internuts!!)
