Abbey, My understanding is that the permitting process is going forward but has not yet been completed.

One thing I have learned is that apparently in Alberta the government owns the mineral rights. Here in the states, at least in Ohio, the land owner owns the rights and typically gets one eight of a play. Therefore, the locals have a financial interest in a well going ahead and it being successful. Sure, there are protesters, but still there is some incentive.

As an example, our city has two wells in parks and our church is going ahead with a well in the back property where local land owners will share.

I think we will be lucky to get a Christmas present - ie a drilled and tested well. Opinion of others please.
