TNSI Background: From WSJ: "Transaction Network Services is a nationwide communications company specializing in transaction-oriented data services. The company's network uses proprietary "950" call routing technology and standard "800" service to provide high speed, low cost, and widely accessible network services, such as credit verification and balance information, for the point-of-sale (POS) transaction industry. The company sells its services to about 1/2 of the top 13 3rd party POS transaction processors, such as JCPenney Business Services, BUYPASS Corp., ENVOY Corp., MasterCard International, TransNet, and TeleMoney Services, all of which resell TNS's services as part of their own service package."
