I think the reason is pretty simple. did you ever price their proxy server ? No matter what you find out - the barrcuda 'bill gates' has one for less. MS proxy server is available for $995 - but wait, if you tell them your running a competitive proxy server - then u get it for 595. There are about 9 players in this market niche - the smart ones are seperating their filtering lists from their products and making this list compatible with MS Proxy server. I got MS proxy server and I got CyberPatrol's list - the whole deal cost me $1500 versus 3000 - 5000 from Spyglass or another competitor. The subscription fee for cyber lasta 15 months. The first time I read about surfwatch i thought the way you do - now I view it as a netscape situation. Its an opinion, i know, but gates is a predator and he has his sites on the Internet.
