Ed, My observation is zero inventory right now and a huge overhang of sell-orders limit 1 9/16ths. As a buyer comes along we see them pick off some of the 1 9/16ths overhang.

Of course this could change anytime this afternoon. (g)

BTW the ask is $1.57 not 1 9/16ths, that's why you didn't get filled. They'd have to cross the trade and make no spread. Plus the bid ask would then be listed as $1.5625 by $1.57.
