The market makers have been short in many of the smallcap and microcap NASDAQ and Bulletin Board stocks in the recent market decline. In many cases they even try to drive the stock down. They have been covering their positions in recent days, and we have been seeing the broad market of smaller stocks finally responding to the buying. As the market makers for ANFS see there is interest and unable to cover at low prices, they slowly move the bids up trying to attract sellers. If this fails and the public responds more aggressively to the strong interest in ANFS mortgage programs with Costco and the veteran groups, a stampede develops as they have to buy whatever they can at the asking price which gets driven upward.
