Don, Believe me, I do hope I'm wrong. I was at Apple for 5years and in Mac market for over 10 years. I'm a loyal Mac user in a company that has 140 PCs and 6 Macs. I just hate to see people sell themselves a bill of goods. The idea that the stock would go to 40 this summer or that somehow Apple could make a dent in the PC market again is just wrongheaded. I totally agree with your philosophy of finding the right niche, however, I don't have much confidence in management that they can do this. Their recent track record doesn't give me confidence, and I don't think Jobs or Amelio will help. I do disagree that the education market is an area they can grow. Although I have not kept close to it, it is my impression that they are losing share on all fronts, including education and publishing. Publishing is probably their strongest holdout though. So, now it is Jan. 7th. Have you gotten your confidence boost?
