Hey, I'm perfectly happy taking risks, as long as I know I have reliable information. Informed risk taking is an American tradition. When the information is coming from the company, it is not at all unreasonable to expect it to be reliable and not distorted in the company's favor. The burden I speak of is becoming an enlisted middleman to reporting company representations. There are plenty of easy, even-handed ways to disseminate information today other than the company making individual amplifications and representations to individual investors over the phone.
