Near-term, Hecla is forming a technical pattern called a "penant." Typically, when nearing a protracted move in either direction, up or down in price action, the stock will break the trend with a move in the reverse direction. It indicates, despite temporary weakness, that Hecla will move higher. There remains a 70-80% probability this indeed occurs.
Fundamentally, Hecla will begin to disclose findings from recent drilling activity in the expanded Golden Creek property. I suspect, because the core property has been in production 100+ years, that the surrounding zone will yield good results. Further, Art Brown, the CEO, and other officers have accumulated Hecla common shares, both in the near-past, and very recently. Mr. Brown is a seasoned officer whose established a record of prudent management in Hecla's business. From this I assume that prudence extends to other activity as well.
Therefore, coupled with the drilling results expected, the attractive current price of spot-silver, I strongly suspect insider buying will avail itself positively; I expect Hecla to continue its recent ascent. T.V.H. |
