From Nov. 2 Information Week: Tongues are wagging on Wall Street about EDS's ongoing CEO search saga. Some observers wonder just how serious EDS has been about finding a new top exec since Les Alberthal announced his retirement. The company also needs a new CFO, and that won't happen until the CEO situation is resolved. Instead of looking for a CEO, some Wall Streeters wonder if EDS may instead be looking at merger possibilities. While EDS says it can't comment on rumors, it did say that finding a new CEO is "the absolute No. 1 priority for us," and that's why the company hired executive search firm Heidricht & Struggles to handle the job.
