Thanks, James for your advice. I received two replies from R Ames, who is C-Com's Communications Director. I don't think he would mind me passing along this information, since it is positive for C-Com. Since my original investment in CHTD has already declined so much already, I am going to hold what I have, and maybe buy a little more as it starts to recover (later this month?)

1st reply from Mr. Ames:

The recent price drop is a disappointment to us as well. We have a number of important projects and efforts in the works that will be positive for the company, and we are close to closing out a private placement that will enable the company to get going again on installing and bringing on new services between the US and Latin America. As a fast developing growth company the working capital problem is a negative on the stock, and that is probably one of the reasons for the drop in price. We also expect to receive NASDAQ listing on the Small Cap board, which will be a boost. However, the recent drop also affects that so we may be looking at several more weeks until we get authorization. C.COM management has a very positive long term view and we expect that 1997 will see results from efforts that have been underway over the last several months...

2nd reply:

... I can tell you that we expect to close the private placement between now and January 15-the nature of it will be positive for us- a news release upon closing will provide all details...
