I think the kid has a point when he says that NDS is or has a database. Of course, a filesystem is a database of files, a OS maintains a database of current processes, the graphical shell has a database of what icons are on the screen, etc... so the counterpoint is that NDS is a specialized database, not a database "system" like Oracle's, or Microsoft Access, whatever.
As for all his other points about Novell having bugs, well, it's not worth discussing. At least it's out there. Windows 2000 is nowhere to be seen, and Windows NT 4.0 just had it's fourth service pack, which is now reported to be full of bugs.
Think about that, Keithsha-- A 4th pack of bugfixes for a product, and the the bugfix pack itself is full of bugs, and all for something which came out over 2 years ago. Novell products may have some disadvantages to Microsoft products, but bugginess ain't one of them. |
