Did he mention the fact that Sony makes far and away more money in its video games than Nintendo? The popularity of Sony Playstation is due in large part to its use of the familiar CD-ROM format. Nintendo on the other hand uses proprietary cartidges that hold far less data that CD-Rom. Sony's upcoming HiFD drive is compatible with the familiar floppy format, as well as its own 200MB discs that cosmetically resemble familiar standard floppies. Iomega (which had a head start just like Nintendo did before being knocked down), uses unfamiliar proprietary media that holds far less data than HiFD. Sony has stated that a 400MB HiFD will be released when needed. *BTW, several Playstation games are now shipping with copy-protection schemes that cut down dramatically the piracy issue. These copy-protection schemes include breaking Book-standards by including audio tracks that are less than 4 seconds long. This messes up a lot of piracy software and hardware.
