ww commercial market for thin clients: Recent industry statistics from Zona Research, Inc. indicate that the worldwide commercial market for thin-clients will grow from 651,000 units and sales of $582 million in 1998 to 5.5 million units and sales of $3.9 billion in 2000 (''Thin-Client and Network Computers: Markets, Opportunities, and Trends,'' June 1998). Thin-clients include network computers, browser-based Intranet terminals, and Windows-based terminals. Windows-based terminals are ideal replacements for text terminal applications devices such as point-of-sale, database management and reservation systems.
