Dells' bread and butter is the business consumer, while AMD is a player in the low-end retail market. My guess would be that, until Dell starts taking an interest in selling to the Shopkos and Circuit Cities of the world, they won't be much interested in AMD or other second-tier processors.

Unless AMD becomes widely accepted in the business community. Either way, I'm not expecting a Dell-AMD agreement anytime soon.
