Yes, and has done very well in the low end of the market. Not the retail end as a whole, but certainly the <$1000 segment. The speed limitations and lag in entering server and workstation market continues to make AMD popular with hobbyists, but not with serious businesses. Emphasis on low-priced options is an admission of defeat. AMD is currently trapped in the low margin end of the market and because it has not even tried to position itself as a top product and knocked that chip off Intel's shoulder, few business or IT people are able to take it seriously. We have yet to see whether K7 will be a serious competitor and available in time with Intel simultaneous new releases. I'll believe it when I see shipments.

Oh, AMD must not be supply or fab constrained if it can spend time on this stuff:
