Allen owned 144,851,948 as of 9/11/98, according to the company's latest Proxy.

Microsoft (MSFT) Chairman of the Board, CEO Bill Gates filed to sell 2,000,000 shares of common stock on October 28 with a market value of about $210.8 million, according to a Form 144 released today by the SEC.
