Redmond Blunders In Name Game Again; Oh Brother, How Dumb Can You Get

I think the easy solution for MSFT would be using the singular word "Window" instead of the plural word "Windows". That would be no naming rights infringement.

Another story you probably don't know is: MSFT was thinking about buying the naming rights for the new Seattle Mariners $497 Million retractable roof stadium, which is to be opened in July, 1999. MSFT wants to name the stadium "The Microsoft Windome 2000" but their condition is asking the new stadium to be opened in the year 2000. The city of Seattle and the Mariners refuse to do that, and they eventually sold the naming rights to Safeco, an insurance company. Oh, they also want the naming rights of the hot dogs sold in that stadium, guess what, it will be called the Windog. And their ads will say something like: a Windog with mustard, pickles: $4.50, 2 seats in the Windome 2000: $120, an autographed Ken Griffey Jr bat: $500, an hour spent with your son surfing the internet using Windows 2000: priceless.
