Ed - You and I are clearly not going to see eye-to-eye on this one. No way, no how.

First of all, SEMX, like most any other company, should have a law firm on retainer for situations just like this one. Hence, the argument that this is going to distract the powers that be *shouldn't* be valid - that's what they're paying their law firm a zillion dollars an hour for on top of their annual retainer.

Second, I know that SEMX's numbers were strong in IBD - that was one of the factors that drew me to the stock after seeing the chart highligted. And yes, I'm sure every company loves some free PR, but they've got to temper that with the reality of what's going on in real life. Their responsibility to the shareholder mandated that they decline the interview - since they knew the article would artificially inflate the price of the stock in the face of what they knew was a lackluster quarter.

As for some of my previous comments, the stock closed at 9-something today, further confirming what I said a while back - the fundamentals are shot and so is the company's credibility. Find another stock before this one hits 6.
