Hello Eric,

Yes ... and the MT&T model is based around *Windows* applications today. And with the introduction of the Cytrix solutions, users are able to run Windows applications on non-Windows platforms ... returning Windows to a mini-computer model of central computer and remote "terminals". I really wonder how Microsoft feels about people buying less copies of Windows to use the Cytrix or Hydra model of execution from other platforms and "Windows terminals". I recently played with the Cytrix Java ICA client and ran Windows applications in the ICA client ... on a NetWare 5 server! This starts to bring in some very interesting opportunities ...

What is slowly starting to occur is a removal of many of the dependencies of the OS platform. But also room for many options.

I know that I can say that MT&T has been showcased numerous times as a very strong solution in the Internet space for ISPs looking to "change the model" ... and people at Novell recognize the power of these types of solutions.

Interesting company ... I would have to check on this, although I do think it's wise of them to move to "CORBA" and "Java" technologies ... they indicate this in their white-papers. Also several mentions of using Oracle for database technology.

With these attributes they are a good candidate for NetWare 5 offerings ...

;-)

The business model is changing ... the Internet changes everything ... ;-)
