Jibacoa, strangely this thread is incredibly quiet as NVDM doubles up
This stock has doubleb in the last 2 months and the thread is still incredibly quiet... NVDM nevertheless continues to advance after releasing some very good fundamental news. Essentially the company is over the hill and patience will finally be rewarded...
I picked up this release from Diebold, which NVDM supplied with EDM. The services referenced to in the article must surely involve the use of NVDM's EDM... More royalties...
Volume is steady and price rising, do you see 10 by December?
>>> Diebold Service Enhances ATM Marketing for Crestar Bank
PR Newswire, Monday, November 02, 1998 at 10:11
RICHMOND, Va., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Relying on a new service from Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE:DBD), Crestar Bank's automated teller machine (ATM) screens in Virginia, Washington D. C. and Maryland will be remotely updated with marketing and advertising messages. Crestar is taking advantage of this fully customized service, which is made possible by Diebold's RemoteLink(SM) program. "RemoteLink lets Diebold download advertising and marketing messages, video clips and even coupon graphics from a central site to a selective group of ATMs or to all ATMs in a customer's network," said Robert W. Reho, vice president, service and systems operations and support for Diebold. "In the past, customers had to travel to each ATM and manually transfer those image files from diskettes. Today, Crestar simply provides us with the graphics and a customized schedule that details which ATMs are to be updated and when the new graphics should appear. Diebold personnel then take complete responsibility for the management and execution of the program." Through RemoteLink, each ATM in a network can present a unique, specific advertising message or change screens and present certain messages at different times of the day. This way, advertisers can precisely target messages to specific neighborhoods at specific times throughout the day, or adjust their advertising messages with local and national events and holidays. In addition, the couponing feature of Diebold's RemoteLink Plus program enables consumers to receive a coupon that can be tied to the marketing message on the screen. "Crestar is taking advantage of RemoteLink's ability to generate additional revenue from our ATM network," said Jamie Rutherford, marketing officer at Crestar. "Just like newspapers sell space as a source of revenue, we are selling space on our ATM screens to third parties. Besides adding a source of revenue from our ATMs and cash dispensers, this allows us to use transaction processing time to provide our customers with information they might find interesting or useful. We chose Diebold to provide a total solution. Diebold handles the distribution of files to our ATMs and also provides the maintenance for our RemoteLink network. This greatly simplifies our administrative efforts." Diebold also will create the graphics as an added service. Crestar has more than 700 Diebold ATMs in its network. Crestar is planning to employ RemoteLink on 20 of these ATMs by the end of this year. In addition to the ability to remotely distribute graphics files to ATMs, RemoteLink also enables automated, remote collection of electronic journal files from the ATMs. These files provide the audit trail used to investigate customer inquiries about ATM transactions. Having the files immediately available enables financial institutions to more quickly resolve any customer disputes regarding ATM transactions. In the past, printed journals or diskettes of the journal files had to be collected manually from each ATM on a regular basis and physically stored for reference. Crestar Financial Corporation (NYSE:CF) is the $25.8 billion holding company for Crestar Bank, which offers a broad range of financial services to consumers, businesses, institutions and governmental customers at 394 locations in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
