Lucretius, I don't have liabilities from short puts, just a $110K gift from Bears like you who paid for the right to sell me Dell stock for less than today's market.

It's like an insurance policy and I'm the insurance company. If the stock drops you've paid to put it to me cheaper than I can buy now.

Or I can roll the puts out and down: you'll pay more to sell it to me for less ... later.

If Dell doesn't drop: I keep the $110K.
Then sell you some more insurance, if you're still buying puts.

PS: I can buy the stock, Lucretius, all 10,400 shares, made the money selling puts. Should I be LOL instead of you, my friend?

Your faithful insurer, er ... put seller.

Don Martini
