And I agree with your post. The Tiawanese are indeed the future competition, though Samsung is also strong and will probably continue to be. The Japanese, LG, and Siemans I see as weaker. IBM is a mystery, though I suspect that like TI they have fallen behind.

For what its worth, I think it is legal for MU as a domestic manufacturer to sell below cost in the US, but it is not legal for a foreign manufacturer to sell below cost in the US. I suppose that selling below cost by a domestic manufacturer could cause anti-trust claims, but MU is so far from a monopoly that this would be a ridiculous claim.

As for talking the stock up, MU certainly has shown the ability to "protect" their shareholders from time to time. <G>
