I've been using a lot of different brands over the years. Tried many including Rollerblades, K2s, Oxygen, etc.
The K2's have been the best by far because of the comfortable soft-boot.
I noticed that except for ROLL's top model, they seem to be using the hardshell type boot like the lowest-end Rollerblades. If ROLL's models aren't comfortable, no one will care about the unique design.
Also, people that "rollerskate" usually stick with the same type of skates that everyone else is using. If being different was "cool," when it comes to skating, many people would have gone back to old-school quad skates. (I like quad skates, but other skaters treat you like a leper!)
Have to admit, at <$200 for their top model, and JC Penny catalog, who knows, could get big.
Even if they were the hottest thing, if the company has no cash, stock could really go much lower, before a shark comes in and buys 'em out.
