<<FWIW, when ValueSpec recommended CD, it was $23 and FTEL was $3, so you can buy twice as much FTEL if you sell your CD today and convert it into FTEL shares than if you bought FTEL shares back when he recommended CD. >>
Yes, it is true that I recommended it at $ 23, but I first recommended it at $ 19.00 and then it went to $ 26.00 I sold most of my position when it went just below $ 22 (for a loss as I bought higher than $19, too). At $ 15.42 I bought a big position and got hammered all the way down to $6.50. I was foolish for holding a falling stock for as long as I did. I usually deal with small-caps and did not expect CD to be priced as insanely by the large-cap funds as it was.
I held and I'm at about break-even on my entire portfolio. This is incredible considering how far I was down. Of course, it is also stunning that I could have given up a 200% gain from earlier in the year (then again, it was surprising I even got up 200% to start with).
Unlike many on this thread, I am not ashamed of the stocks I own, or of my true performance. Unlike many on this thread, I can admit when I make mistakes.
We'll see if I continue to be right, or wrong about FTEL. We should know soon.
May we prosper at whatever we do.
FTEL: $ 1.02 CD: $ 13.44
