I fully emphasize with your feelings, and I feel you are entirely correct. Still, there is one point that continues to slip past most posters. Everyone wants AA "to do the right thing". Is that reality?
AA has his money and his daughter has hers. I feel confident they have been paid well over the past couple years. Beyond that, it appears obvious, HE JUST DOESN'T CARE.
It is extremely unlikely AA will ever participate in a CC because the CC will degrade to a "pissing contest" and AA probably sees himself as a great, talented businessman. Really, what could be said... "AA, do the right thing!". HE JUST DOESN'T CARE.
He has lied his way, over several years, into a deep dark corner. I personally expect flight or abandonment to be a reasonable response in the not too distant future. One question will be how much additional funds will "he" be able to siphon off during the interim. A sale of the company would be fortunate, but so far the evidence says there is a continuing, substantial negative cash flow and dwindling sales. What is the value of a loser, ...a shell of a former company, ...a "piss-poor" reputation?
Many would like to "string him up", but the evidence says he is skillful at "stringing people along". Opportunities for turning things around have been present on several occasions. In my personal, humble opinion, the bottom line is "he's got his" and HE JUST DOESN'T CARE about shareholders or "doing the right thing". |
