Others bought Syquest because of the desire to go against the flow. This will not change. YOu forget that Castlewood Orb is due on store shelves at the end of THIS month. The MR-tech Orb is $199 with $29 2.2 Gig discs. It blows away Jaz2, SparQ, Syjet--everything. This drive is going to steal MAJOR sales away from Jaz2. >>2) even if a dump occurs, nomai, i believe, has the only concurrent license to manufacture syqt disks and they've been manufacturing such at a profit; << WHOOAHH! Hold on there, pardner. Nomai had been reporting LOSSES. And Nomai's manufacturing had been producing Syquest's LEGACY (44MB, 88MB, 200MB, etc.) cartidges, not Syjet or SparQ. >>3) it's possible short sellers will underestimate buying/holding power<< Not likely. IOM has a long, rich history of disappointing Longs. IOM has a long history of drawing in loads of newbie Sucker investors with Hype and a promise of floppy replacement that never seems to materialize. Zip has replaced NOTHING. >>it's a new game<< Nope, same old same old. The stock price in late December/January will bear this out.
