Steve,

I think it took a deep dive for COMS to shakeout weak hands.
A 1/2 to 1 pt drop would only inspire more exuberance.

Not only traders and shorts need to be shaken out,
BUT, longs that have bought recently
thinking they're latched on to an easy winner. Institutions
want to shake every non hard-core holder from their positions
and snap up shares for themselves.
