Regardless of your economic snapshots, Amazon is farthest-up on the correct side of the power curve. That's the critical investment thesis here. A fund manager put it to me very succinctly at the Montgomery conference. He said that the chain stores can no longer measure their success, because with each store opening they don't know whether they are adding an asset or liability.
