That's my point, George. The bill of goods they sold the American people was that they were doing their duty. That "duty" is now going to hang them. If they renege, the Christian/moral wing of the party feels betrayed by the leaders. If they do their duty, they not only piss off the public, wall street, and the fiscal conservatives but they have no chance of winning it now. They've set themselves up for a big internal party struggle or a nationally televised belly-flop. Armey is toast. Gingrich is on the ropes. If only Bill Paxon was still around.
