After all, ASP fell substantially in the last year and yet their margins actually went up.

I don't really want to argue this one, but one reason that their margins went up could have been due to cost cutting. However, a company cannot constantly cut costs to increase margins and earnings.

What I was trying to say is that lower ASPs does not necessarily equate to good for stockholders.
