RE: RS and AD

An RS of 99 means Dell moves better than almost anyone, but you couldn't tell it from the whiners on this thread and on CNBC. Accumulation means to buy a large quantity of stock so stealthily as not to drive the price up -- this is a classic signal of a stock hyped to rise. For the little guys (or "suckers" as we are known on the Street) we are supposed quietly to hand over our stock to the big bugs during a period of stable or falling prices. We don't have to worry about distribution with Dell. It ain't gonna happen to Dell for several decades, and they aren't making any more of it.
It is perfectly clear that every Big Bug who hadn't bought and held Dell before, did it after August 31 or October 8. Top performers like Fidelity Select Computers and Janus 20 have been increasing their positions. I haven't heard anyone say anything nice about Dell in some time. "Well, of course, if I'd bought it some years ago I would hang on to it." "Its too expensive now" (meaning "Don't you bid up the price until I have converted my whole portfolio to Dell before the price goes up." The PC and server markets are on a tear. Intel is sold out for this quarter. Even AMD is making money. Next year is going to be even better. Japan PC sales are booming. Dell is building plants all over the world and should be able to increase revenue even faster. People are buying the 450's, and it is advertised every where on the web.

Load up! Hold tight!
