What if your representative lied to you about something else? Like, in the Iran Contra scandal, you mean? Yes, I will be offended by something so grotesquely callous, for it might well have cost human lives. Or is honesty so far beyond your standards that there isn't anything that a person in government could do to offend you? Cheap shot! There are oodles of Republicans that offend me, and you don't tell me they have been honest! Of course, a few of them were forced to come out clean after their trousers/skirts were pulled down in public and it was revealed that they were having extra-marital affairs that ended up wrecking families -- the very families that they claim to be working so hard for.
