Hi Antoine, >>>>>I'm a spreadsheet guy.<<<<<
I got chewed out Monday for wasting thread space talking about buying a house, but, I'll try to be brief, the calculations involved are pretty complex, e.g., pay cash, take out a mortgage, 15 years vs. 20, vs. 30, how much for downpayment, what if I leave the money invested, what about taxes, and so on. I have never used a spreadsheet, would it be worthwhile to set it up, or am I just wasting time? I use Vorton Financial Tools, it calculates amortization, interest and principal, etc. I wish I could use a program that just prompted me to enter numbers and crunched them for me.
