Mr. Doe, re: "I would tell them that you should be honest when you are being fairly dealt with by a fair and honest system, "

Of course, that leaves the child to make the determination about what is fairness and what is a fair an honest system. That kind of thinking is what has allowed Bill Clinton to get away with everything he's gotten away with over the years. Translated into reality, it means: "It is OK to lie because the people I disagree with are unfair."

Wonderful message for a child.

"I would teach them that back in the 80's the Democrats tried to be nice and upstanding when the Republican's fought them with dirty attack ads and they lost big." And you would perpetuate even more lies - another wonderful message for your child.

The real object lesson of Clinton is that you can only get away with stuff like this for so long. Eventually, you slip up just a few too many times and you get caught. And, sometimes, not always, you have to pay the price for wrongdoing - sometimes, that is, if you're the President, and the folks that helped get you elected want to keep you there.

Mr. K.
