I opened up my WSJ this morning, and right there on the first page of the third section was none other than Tokyo Mex. The WSJ ran a fairly good article on him. In it he admits to:

... a practice called "pumping and dumping."

Mr. [Joe] Park [Tokyo Mex] readily acknowledges "some conflicts of interest where I was pushing stocks I owned" and then "reaped most of the benefits" when followers bought in. "That wasn't fair," he concedes.


Guess you were right in your assessment.
