Hi +Bib,
A cold launch is where the rocket is shot up into the air by
pressured steam. The savings are that a smaller rocket can take a
larger pay load for its size into obit, for as we all know that first 200 feet to get moving for any rocket including the space shuttle
, takes a lot of fuel to get things moving. Also no ponds are
needed, and also only a crew of about 12 to launch. The spring of
2000 is a realistic date for the first EPEA launches, as long as
the Start Treaty is resolved. EPEA Believer*Richard
