There was a post on this thread earlier that said cyrix went into the Asian market with older, slower chips and learned, (the hard way), that the Asian market wanted the same things the rest of pc buyers want: the latest and greatest. Any manufacturer who believes Asia is a dumping ground for technology they can't sell in their own country better do their market research first. It kind of sounds like something the French would do.
