FAIRFIELD, Conn., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ - DCI Telecommunications, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DCTC) today announced that it has applied to Nasdaq for a Small Cap listing. The listing application process takes, on average, a minimum of one month and sometimes up to five months for approval. DCI Telecommunications is a technology and communications company. DCI develops software and hardware products for a number of different industries throughout the world. The Company also designs, develops and markets value added Privilege Cards(TM) containing a prepaid phone feature and discounts or "privileges" by a nationwide network of high profile merchants. Additionally, through a recently completed acquisition, the Company sells motion pictures and syndicated programming to television stations and cable companies as well as developing programs in conjunction with independent producers. DCI recently introduced the first product in a new line of products (Alpha-Net(TM) Product Line) which utilizes distributed intelligence technology to send digital signals over existing electrical wiring eliminating the cost and need for independent system wiring or radio signals. Alpha-Net products are being developed for a wide variety of markets where this technology is presently in limited use or not being used at all. Additionally, because there is no dedicated "hard wiring" involved, systems and applications utilizing Alpha-Net products become instantly portable. The Company has a continuing mission to seek out potential profitable acquisitions or joint ventures and to maximize marketing opportunities for its divisions, in order to provide the highest possible return for its shareholders. |
