Jumpin cripe, its in my account, its past the stupid risk test. DUH don't they think they would say; well if its in his account "DAD" must have approved it already!!

The analogy is going to a bank machine, putting in your instant bank card, entering your pin no. and the machine needing further identification to prove who you are. The machine then checks to make sure you haven't withdrawn more than you normally would, or else it rejects your request if you take too much. All this is based on your application for an instant teller card that asked you questions about your future withdrawal activity, which you couldn't possibly answer at the time.

It is purely ridiculous. I thought 128 bit encryption and passwords are 99% or better in preventing fraud, which is the only thing I can think of as to why these restrictions are there.

The absolute most ridiculous thing in this whole scenario is that Greenline bases your risk level, on a box that I ticked as I was opening my account. I was blown away one time when a trade was refused because it didn't fit my risk criteria. I couldn't even apply for a margin account based on that "little tick" I made 1.5 years ago. I have never been sent any form to update my current information or been approached whether my investment interests/approach have changed.
