Richard - Did you read the press release? Last year, some of JMAR's profits were due to tax losses that could be used to write off gains. That made earnings higher than they would have been otherwise. This year there were NO tax losses, so earnings came strictly from revenues.

Regarding >>>the drop in demand from the computer industry for its precision measurement and positioning products should be of concern<<< we've known for months now that the disk drive industry has been in the dumps, thereby creating less demand for JMAR's precision measurement and positioning products. As of today's news (which I posted prior to this) about the recovery in disk drive stocks currently underway, it bodes well for JMAR's pick-up in business in this area.

Things look pretty good for JMAR to me -- but of course now I'll be accused of "cheerleading".<g>
