Metro One Telecommunications Signs New Business
Contract With Indus, Inc.

PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Metro One Telecommunications, Inc. (Nasdaq: MTON - news), a leading
provider of Enhanced Directory Assistance (R) (EDA) to the telecommunications industry, today announced that it has signed
a multi-year agreement to provide its EDA services to subscribers of Indus, Inc. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Indus, which will
be doing business as Industar Digital PCS, is an emerging personal communications service (PCS) carrier that is expected to
begin providing service in late 1998 to subscribers in the Milwaukee metropolitan area and six surrounding counties.

Industar Digital PCS is Milwaukee's hometown telecommunications provider offering innovations and technology for
businesses and individual consumers throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Industar Digital PCS is located at 633 E. Mason
Street in downtown Milwaukee with a Business Center soon to open nearby at 732 N. Jackson Street. The company will offer
Digital PCS service locally, with national coverage provided by AT&T Wireless Services. Industar is a registered service mark
of Indus, Inc.

Metro One Telecommunications, Inc. is an independent developer and provider of Enhanced Directory Assistance services for
the telecommunications industry. The company operates call centers located throughout the U.S. Revenue for the full year
1997 was $26.1 million. Revenue for the first nine months of 1998 was $31.3 million, or 84 percent above the same period in
1997. The company handled approximately 42 million requests for directory assistance on behalf of its carrier customers for
