I am not sure if I would be glad that you got a call from MBT tomorrow or not.
Tim,
I just left a voicemail message for Ross asking him to call you. If he has your number, I expect he will call you tomorrow.
Rick
There is little doubt in my mind that MBT would want to serve every client that they can.
On the other hand I know that they want to serve their clients exceedingly well.
Its the second part that comes into play here. That dedication to top notch service means that the guys and gal at the office are working their asses off day in and day out. They go way out of their way on a daily basis to take care of all of us.
Since I have been back to the computer after being off goofing for two months... I have noticed that the MBT client support chatroom is constantly scrolling with questions and answers just like it has been for six or seven months non-stop. I have noticed how unrelenting the demands are from many clients.
It is a difficult for me to imagine holding up to the never ending barrage of questions and criticisms and demands that too many times are not even followed with a courteous thank you after the need has been met.
Beth and Steve and Phil (phactor) and especially Ross (RHD) keep slaving day in and day out.
Although I have never met them except through emails, chat, and some phone calls; they have gained my complete trust and respect. To me these guys and a gal are heroes. Thanks to them I am a happy trader.
So, guess what?
Today I called, to mention that maybe you were an ok guy and if they had the time...
Why?
Because I got the best broker that there is with some of the greatest people you could hope to find doing all the dirty work so that I can live my dream. Because I have been screaming and shouting about MBT since January. Because JUST LIKE YOU, I do not want to see them dry up and blow away. In fact, I have every intention of keeping an active trading account with MBTrading ten and twenty years from now.
Because I share the exact concern that you do, I have committed time and energy to "shilling" for them on SI all year. And I do it with pleasure as I see that they have a healthy growing business with an unprecedented amount of good will and enthusiasm from their clients.
So today I called them, just to for you. Then it happened.
I waited until the middle of the day... so things would slow up at their office. I called the phone was picked up on the second ring. I asked for Ross. No trouble he is finishing up a call hold for just a minute.
Then it happened. I started to actually think for a second.
I could hear, like, four phones ringing in the background with all the din of a very busy office, and as I was waiting, I thought to myself, what the hell am I doing?
What the hell am I doing here?
Sure I never put my boots on this morning, I got a fire going in the fire place, I am playing "Tresspasser" on my other box while my short continues to collapse. I have time to help out Tim Luke.
But wait a minute... wtf?
Does Ross have time to play games?
Do I really want to pitch to Ross that he should drop everything he is doing to hold your hand just because you have a big thread on SI?
Am I thinking clearly here?
I hung up.
I reread some of your posts.
Listen, Friend.
Forget about all the people that ask you what broker to use.
If you want to have the BEST, just do it. If not, then get out of the way. I think its a no lose situation. You can get whatever you would like.
In the mean time I will say to anyone anywhere anytime... MB Trading is equal to or better than any other trading brokerage you can find on this Earth.
And, I have, can, and will back up that claim with intelligent debate all the way down to sophomoric name calling with anyone who wishes to engage in a meaningful or meaningless dialog.
I wish the very best of luck to you Tim and I am sure you will find success in the market anyway you go. But whatever you do, don't go to Brown and Company until you have thoroughly examined the reality of execution via a sold "order flow" brokerage.
good luck
