I think the channel stuffing and DEC buyout has turned most investors off CPQ...Nothing can help this stock at this point...even good news for Compaq will turn into bad news for everyone...Just watch when, as expected, Dell announces they're losing ground to Compaq in total sales(due to Compaq's inventory correction, which no one bothered to mention as the real reason Dell closed ground last quarter)... I think instead of CPQ stock soaring on the news, most tech investors will look at it as "bad news for Dell means bad news for the whole sector" and EVERYONE will sell. It may be time to just get out of tech stocks for a while, at least til a new "DELL" comes along...as for Compaq...we'll know the answer come the next quarter....if a gain of .37 cents per share doesn't move this stock 10 points up...then we'll be floating in the $20-$40 range for the next couple of yrs.
